WHAT IS THE GED?
The General Education Development credential or GED certifies the basic level of education of a person. Passing the GED test is the same as graduating from high school. Every year more and more GED students chose to follow higher education and enroll in a trade school, college, or university. All colleges and universities in the U.S. accept the GED.
Students that did not graduate from high school for some reason, or who want to get an early start can use the GED. GED tests are administered by state sponsored institutions.

Records show that in the year 1999 more than half a million people passed the GED, out of the over 700,000 who took it.
The armed forces have instituted a cap on how many GED applicants it will accept. Only 10 percent inductees can have a GED. They are placed in a lower tier than high school graduates. Yet, many millionaires including Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas took the GED and became highly successful. Opportunity can and is available to the one who reaches for the stars and has the drive and determination to accomplish their goals.
